RE Update
Dear Friends,
Last Sunday Dan Lambert with the assistance of Colleen Spence led a successful bird watch walk to Cobb Hill with the pre-K through 3rd graders. It sounds as though they had both a successful and fun filled RE class. Bruce Locke with the assistance of Mariet Jaarsma began a mini unit creating a ceramic panel with a small ,contingency of 4th grade and older children. It’s not too late for children to join in for the second session on June 13th.
This Sunday will be our annual intergenerational Beltane service. After a short service in the sanctuary, the congregation will head to the front lawn to weave the Maypole.
Following the service, we’ll hold our first semi annual church and grounds spruce-up. Many hands will make light work. Supervised work geared for the children is planned so parents may also work without having to worry about keeping an eye ontheir children. After two hours of labor, workers will celebrate in community over a pot-luck meal. Bring your rakes, pruners, shovels, wheel barrels, scrapers…and join in the work.
Take care,
Jill Lloyd, DRE
