Traditional acoustic music is coming to Hartland.  Concerts at Four Corners, a new concert series at the UU Church in Hartland Four Corners, presents its premiere event on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.  The featured performers, Becky Tracy and Keith Murphy, are two of Vermont’s most highly regarded acoustic musicians.

Becky Tracy (fiddle) and Keith Murphy (guitar, mandolin, piano, foot percussion) are dynamic performers of traditional music from Newfoundland, Quebec, Ireland, France, and beyond. Tracy’s fiddling pulses through tasteful arrangements of dance tunes and resonates with beauty on traditional slow airs. Keith’s gentle and expressive singing in English and French is balanced by the drive and power of his guitar playing and foot percussion. Combined, they produce a striking range and richness of sound. Their playing is seamless, the result of years of playing together and touring across the U.S., Canada, and in Europe.

Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, with a family maximum (parents and their children) of $35.

Directions: From Interstate 91, take exit 9. Go north 1½ miles on Route 5 to the intersection of Routes 5 and 12. Turn left at the stop sign onto Route 12. Go 1½ miles to the intersection of Brownsville Road (Mace Hill Road to the right), and turn left. The church is the second building on the right, next to the Skunk Hollow Tavern.

From Woodstock, travel east on Route 4 to Route 12 South. Turn right onto Route 12. Travel about 8 miles to the intersection of Brownsville Road on the right (Mace Hill Road to the left). Turn right. The church is the second building on the right, next to the Skunk Hollow Tavern.
